Your right to opt out
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (CCPA/CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information, as those terms are defined by the law.
Our current practice
The site currently provides free guidance and does not operate contact or lead forms, and we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA [confirm with counsel]. We honour Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals as a valid opt-out request.
If and when we introduce an optional case-review service that routes the details you submit to independent attorneys or partners, some of that activity may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under the law. This page provides the mechanism to opt out, and we will update it with full details before any such service goes live.
How to submit a request
To opt out, or to exercise your other rights (to know, access, delete or correct your information), you can:
- Use the [opt-out form / link] (to be provided when lead-routing is introduced), or
- Email us at [privacy@your-domain.com] with the subject "California privacy request".
We may need to verify your identity before acting on certain requests, and we'll respond within the timeframe the law requires (generally 45 days, extendable once). You may use an authorised agent to submit a request on your behalf.
No discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights.
